Can't believe how much Monkichi stuff they have .... Someone had a gd time addin these to her collection.

Chicky iron-on. Now just have to look for the right polo.

Cannot compare. Black jeans bought from shop while tigger jeans bought from night market. The one from the night market came out of the washin machin like a piece of cardboard. So stiff & cutting ain't that great either.

Planning Stage (HK Trip)

The idea started a few mths ago. We wanted to have a short get-a-way. Give ourselves some well deserved rest & get off the hamster wheel for a change.

We contemplated places like Bangkok (wkend market), Taiwan (can't get enuff of the place) Hong Kong (Dim Sum paradise) or just crossing the border into Malaysia.

We finally settled on HK since we didn't have (much) of a language barrier & .... I really wanna eat Dim Sum.

As U scroll down, U might notice the only photos of scenery is from "The peak". Thats b'cos we've decided to not waste time on scenic route & get straight down to the shopping & eating.

Hope everyone who visits our blog enjoys the photos & U might even get some travel ideas for your next trip to "HK - Pearl of the Orient"

Day 1 (Here we go !!!)

Here we are @ the airport. Thats our plane behind us. Yes.... this photo is actually 2 overlapping one another.

Alrite !!! We are here !!! We passed out time watching in-flight movies. If I had knew there were so many movies, I would have left my PSP & rubix cube @ home.

Ta-da !!!Our super-small hotel rm.U can reach anywhere in 1-step or less!

Ok! Drop the luggage & off we go. Time to shop. Usually in S'pore, paper art are used to make paper cranes or pineapple for CNY. See what the shop is offering! Paper art for all sorts of animated characters.

After walkin around, its time to grab some food. Was walking alone lookin for wanton noodle. Ended up in this eatery cos it seemed crowded (popular). The hard part is not findin good food but orderin it. Haha, me & Jess are a little rusty in the Mandarin dept..

I highly recommend the pork soup (da best) and do give the garlic chix rice a try.

A shot of "Sai Yeung Choi St South" the place for electronics goods.

Hehe.... Have only seen ice cream trucks in cartoons b4.

Ahhh.... Toy shop (& a big 1 @ that)! Those figures in the display are as big as me!!! Can I have 1 to put @ home !?

Day 2 (Hong Kong Island)

Venue: Shamrock hotel
Food: Dim Sum (what else right!?)
Fu pi quan, carrot cake, char siew chu chang fen

Goin to take MTR to start our shopping!!!

Halloween shop. My goodie-ness. They have so many cool stuff.

It seems that Halloween is quite a big event here in HK.

If U wanna soak in the sights, I suggest taking the tram. Here is a photo of a tram (not the 1 we took).

Alright, now we are at Time Square shopping centre.

Took this photo to show the inside of the shopping centre. Its just like Ngee Ann city back home.

Um, this photo is by special request..... Seems that a fren of ours has a thing for ANNA SUI.
I love this dish. Its Okonomiyaki + Noodle !!!
(why can't we have this in S'pore. Sob sob ....)

Their bakeries are so high class. A lot of varieties and all look super yummy. We didn't try any cos it would be such a waste to fill our bellies with flour.

I like chicken so took this photo of a shop front with a cute logo.

Get it !? Homeless chickens. (chickens sitting outside on the ledge) Hahaha....

Streets of HK. Bustling with shoppers !!!

More photos with streets of HK as back drop.

This boutique houses a few brands of which non is cheap. Love the display thou. :)

En-route to "The Peak" tram station

It was quite a hike. Nice view on the way up.

Central

Yes, we reached "The Peak" tram station.

Thanks to the friendly shop assistant who help us took this photo.

Um, no. We didn't go to Disney Land. Its just a static display.

Dinner @ The Peak. Time to recharge ourselves. The yuan yang was a little too Tea strong. This marked the end of our second day.
